I have hiked just short of willow falls in the eagle nest wilderness area. That last .75 mile was steep and rocky so elected a nice meadow for my first solo overnight.
I hung my first bear bag and it was still there in the morning. I was so tired last night that I settled for a bowl of instant oatmeal. It hit the spot and I then went in search of water and a place to hang my food bag. What beauty. I just love the smells in the forest.
As I returned to camp, it started to rain. I was so glad the tent was ready for me.
I read for a while thent slept in. No big surprise there.
